InformationSeveral years ago I set a goal to get to all fifty states between my 20th and 30th birthdays. At present, I've made it to 45 with about 5 months to go. The deadline to hit "50 by 30" is April 26th, 2001, and right now it does not look like I am going to make it. This is the page that tracks the progress and provides links to lots of pictures that I've taken along the way.
Each date represents the first time that I was in the state during my 20s. Because a definition is needed, a "state visit" means at least drove through. Changing planes in an airport is not enough to register a state as visited. States without linked pictures are either still being added, or appeared devoid of any scenery when I visited.
These are the pictures that appear on my front page. The pictures there are chosen at random from the folder and displayed. Please note: the pictures are generally around 30k so even slow connections can probably enjoy.
